My Faith Has Found a Resting Place
by
Lidie H. Edmunds
My faith has found a resting place, Not in device nor creed;
I trust the Ever living One, His wounds for me shall plead.
Enough for me that Jesus saves, This ends my fear and doubt;
A sinful soul I come to Him, He’ll never cast me out.
My heart is leaning on the Word, The written Word of God,
Salvation by my Savior’s name, Salvation through His blood.
My great Physician heals the sick, The lost He came to save;
For me His precious blood He shed, For me His life He gave.
I need no other argument, I need no other plea,
It is enough that Jesus died, And that he died for me.

This is a beautiful hymn. I'm going to be humming it in my head all day now!
Love this hymn. I never tire of reading the hymns and learning about the people who wrote them.
The people who wrote our hymns seem to have experienced extremely tough situations. It's uplifting to be assured that our most difficult situations can be a blessing to others.
She was quite prolific!
I AM A CATHOLIC AND THIS HYMN IS NOT IN THE CATHOLIC HYMNAL;
NEVERTHELESS, IT IS MY AL TIME FAVORITE AND ESP. TODAY, I CAME ON THIS BLOG JUST 4 THE WORDS TO SPEAK TO ME.
Hello Rosemary,
I'm glad you stopped by my blog. You are welcome to visit anytime. I'm glad you enjoyed the words to this song.
More than any song can say, the Bible is the written Word of God and God reveals to us everything we need to know about this life and eternal life. Most importantly that Jesus is the way the truth and the life and that nobody comes to the Father except through Jesus! (John 14:6) Only Jesus saves :)
Have a wonderful day!
