Purdy, purdy, purdy...
A few days ago I sat on a park bench listening to the symphony of sounds surrounding me. A cool Spring breeze rustled the leaves on the trees. The lake glistened in the early morning sun.
I heard one particular bird's voice above the myriad of chirping sounds. Purdy, purdy, purdy... It sounded almost like the word "pretty". Indeed, the scene that danced before my eyes and the sound that echoed in my ears was "pretty."
A few short weeks ago, my eyes and ears thirsted for this harvest of bounty. For twelve days I heard the beep, beep, beep of hospital machines and saw the blue of a drawn curtain as I lay in a hospital bed.
Connected to tubes and a heart monitor, I found solace in the presence of Jesus, my Savior. "Lo, I am with you always," He promises, "even to the end of the world." (Matthew 28:20b)
Whether in a stark hospital room or in a park by the lake, God is with those who are His child. Of that I am sure. In that I am secure.
Live the adventure,
Susan

Amen, Susan. So glad to hear that you're coming along, and yes, our Lord is there with His children, whatever circumstance they may find themselves to be in. I'm thinking the bird who was declaring the glory of God may have been a titmouse. They seem to be saying something like that. At least it seems to me.:)
How comforting to be in the arms of Jesus...no matter where we are. I'm so glad you were able to feel secure in him.
I hope you are feeling better, and getting stronger.
