It's time for a blog book contest! As a contributing author to God Encounters, I am excited to give away one free signed copy of this amazing book! Who wants to win?
I still get goose bumps when I think about my God Encounter. It was just a normal day - just a few moments in time, but God stepped in and the ordinary flow of events became extraordinary. My true life story on page 57, By Divine Appointment, is one of the stories in this Howard Publication, a division of Simon and Schuster. Each faith-building story in this book highlights a particular life-giving characteristic of God, revealing a better understanding of who He is and how much He loves you. My story was chosen to tell how "God is Good."
Here's a short excerpt:
For some reason, I decided to park our car near the old playground at the far end of the park. Most families usually took their children to the new playground in a less-isolated area. But with my teenage son, who was the size of a football player, I felt pretty safe going to this remote area surrounded by woods.
After a short walk by the lake, we trudged up the narrow path to the playground. I plopped onto a park bench while Jared pushed Joel on a rusted, chain-link swing. A warm spring breeze rustled the leaves on the trees. I closed my eyes, enjoying the peace and quiet.
Minutes later, the silence was broken...
All you have to do to enter this book contest is leave a comment on this post. I will pick one winner from the hat and will sign your copy of this book on February 14th - Valentine's Day!
Spread the word- all are welcome! I must tell you that this is the first book that I have contributed to that I have not been able to put down. Not that the other books aren't wonderful, they are, but every story in God Encounters is intriguing and I promise that they will captivate your heart just as they have captured mine!
I look forward to hearing from you!
Live the adventure,
