Join Me For A Tour!

I am very excited to announce that I will be hosting a book tour here at Adventurous Living on Wednesday, April 9th. Inspirational Author and Speaker, Allison Bottke, will join me in a special blog interview about her new book, Setting Boundaries with Your Adult Children: Six Steps to Hope and Healing.

Allison is the founder of God Allows U-Turns®, "A global outreach dedicated to changing lives through a focus on following a Navigator who will keep us on the right path." As a result of her own dramatic, life-changing U-Turn, Allison says, "The critical mission of the organization is to change lives through a relationship with Jesus Christ, our Life Navigator."

Please join me on Wednesday, April 9th for this powerful interview. I will be giving away a copy of Allison's new book, Setting Boundaries with Your Adult Children: Six Steps to Hope and Healing. All you have to do is leave a comment on my April 9th post and you are automatically entered in the drawing. One winner will be announced the following week.

Feel free to spread the word! Many families are in crisis with adult children whose lives are out of control, often leaving parents and family members confused and hurting. Maybe it's your family or maybe it's someone you know. People need to know that God cares. There is help. There is hope. There is a way to discover S.A.N.I.T.Y.

God bless my friends and until next Wednesday: Take the next step and live the adventure!

In Jesus' love,
Susan

Sounds good. I hope I remember to come back! I do know some families who fit into this category.

Susan, I'll be along for the tour! Psychologists tell us that the number one complaint among baby boomer parents is their adult children. We have several families right now that we're ministering to that are in crisis. One couple is on the verge of divorce: the husband wants to stop the flow of money and the wife wants to continue supporting their 29-year-old son. Allison's book is a must have resource, even if you don't have adult children, I know there's someone in your life who could benefit from Allison's S.A.N.I.T.Y. principles.

I'll be wrapping up the tour on April 30th on Boomer Babes Rock. http://www.boomerbabesrock.com/blog

HUGS!

Susan, thanks so much for the introduction. It is an honor and a blessing to be able to share this resource with other parents and grandparents. As Connie mentioned, it really is an epidemic in our culture today. I've walked the journey of enabling and I am here to say that hope and healing are possible. Peace is possible. And, SANITY IS POSSIBLE! It's interesting that Greg asked about the issue as it pertians to aging parents, as I am working on a follow-up book specifically for that demographic. I look forwrad to visiting with your readers on Wednesday. Thanks for hosting me on my blog tour. God's Peace! - Allison Bottke, www.sSanitySupport.com

Maxine, I'll leave the post up for almost a week to make sure readers have an opportunity to get the information and enter the drawing :)

Connie, wow, you are always full of statistics. You amaze me that way girl. As far as the epidemic, I see it in my extended family and will be passing along Allison's book to a dear family member in crisis. I'll see you later when you wrap up the tour. This book is a great resource for hurting families!

Greg, yes, it is. And it looks like Allison stopped by and answered you question :) (See below) I also have a writer friend, well, she is my instructor and mentor, Marelene Bagnull. Check out her website at www.writehisanswer.com She has a bookstore online. She wrote a book that I believe is called, "My Turn to Care" out of her experience with her aging parents.

Hi Allison and thanks for stopping by :) You have walked the walk with this. I pray that your story will bring hope to those who are struggling with their adult children. And your upcoming book sounds like a much needed resource. I've often wondered how I am going to handle this very situation when it arises.

Yes, I've heard about this book...through other blogging friends. I'll look forward to the interview.

On Wednesday, at 9:00 a.m. my son must attend a very important appointment. If he doesn't go, my husband and I will need very strong direction from the Lord to know what to do.

May we be unified in our approach. Yes...these things are VERY hard on a marriage...as Connie Pombo mentioned.

I have posted the last chapter of my story today if you have time to pop across.

Sharon, I will be praying about that appointment my friend. I am learning too the importance of working together as parents.

Hi Barbara, yes, a much needed area that needs to be addressed. Thanks for the invite too :)

Hey Helen, yes, I understand! With college on the horizon for our oldest, it is a concern, an ongoing prayerful one :)
